Coaching is a discipline that is being used to great benefit in the church, in business, in personal life. Coaching is a creative partnership that guides people into God's dreams for the world. The heart of our faith is God's hope for the world - life, abundant life, new life. Coaching is a powerful way to live into life as persons, as groups, congregations, and communities.

The POV Coach Certification Program and A Taste of Coaching are open to elders, deacons, and ministers. Both count as continuing education for CLPs. The brochure describes both programs.

Coaching

Brochure, Registration, Additional Information

The POV Coach Certification Program is designed to develop basic coaching skills for working with others. It includes being coached, seminars, reading, supervised coaching of others, mentoring, and assessment. The two-day Foundations class plus two one-day classes are required. Participants may come to all six days with no extra charge.

A Taste of Coaching gives participants an opportunity to learn about coaching and to be coached without making a commitment to becoming a coach. The two-day Foundations class is required and participants may enter the Coach Certification Program if they choose later.

Both programs offer renewal, spiritual growth, and supportive community. Neither requires participation with Natural Church Development. Some in the certification program may choose to be Natural Church Development coaches.
