North Central Cluster

The Music Program of First Presbyterian Church of Columbus will host the Butler University Chorale and Chamber Orchestra at 3:00 on February 28th. Refreshments will follow. All are welcome.

Please "save the date" of April 15th for the next gathering of the North Central Cluster, to be held at the Bloomington First Presbyterian Church. Our Presbyter for Common Life, Rev. Susan McGhee, will lead the program. Details will follow soon.

Northwest Cluster

South Central Cluster

The Organist Guild of Southern Indiana has scheduled their Lenten organ concerts. We have two Presbyterian Churches that are participating. All concerts are at Noon.

February 19 - concert at St. John Presbyterian Church
March 5 – concert at Madison Presbyterian Church

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord" declared the Psalmist. In this season of thanks we can be thankful for the witness of our cluster churches - all of whom are active in mission. There are many opportunities to support one another and to do mission work together in order to strengthen our mutual witness and our fellowship. The following are notes (thanks to Don Summerfield) from the cluster pastor's lunch gathering.

St. John Presbyterian has a Wednesday after school tutoring program for neighborhood children. Volunteers are welcome to support this ministry – contact St. John PC for more information.
Youth from the Jeffersonville Church will likely be taking part in a Son Servants mission work camp the week of July 5, 2010. They would welcome inquires from other Cluster congregations about a “coordinated sign-up” (i.e. meeting there, possibly forming a caravan for the trip and/or having some get-acquainted gatherings beforehand). This could be especially good for groups with just a few kids interested in going.
There was interest in doing something similar (i.e. pre-trip gatherings) for Cluster youth going to the Presbyterian Youth Triennium in July 2010.

Katrina Mission Work Trip
April 11-17th, 2010

Please put Sunday, January 10th on your calendar if you are interested in the Katrina Mission Trip. We will have a 5 PM dinner and meeting at First Presbyterian Church in Jeffersonville to begin organizing our trip. There will be a presentation by last year's group and a time of Questions and Answers. We will not go later than 7:15 PM as we know many of you will be coming from a distance.

We would like an RSVP by January the 5th. I have already heard from churches that are beginning their recruiting, and have also been in conversation with the Northern cluster where there is some interest in organizing a group for the same week.
